I recommend going outside. I recommend taking a walk around your neighborhood. Even late at night. Hear the place you live sleep and the sounds of its talkative nightlife species. Go someplace where other people do a thing your are interested in or good at. Even if it’s just to listen and observe, you don’t need to talk to anyone. Take your favorite dish from a restaurant and learn how to make it. Travel all over your region trying to find a niche ingredient. Grow some plants. Smoke weed with another person and ask them questions about themselves, no matter how mundane. Set a $20 bill on fire to see how it makes you feel. Find a park or trail or garden you could reasonably walk to within 45 minutes, leave your phone at home, and go there and just shut the fuck up and sit down for an hour. Think about how the way you carry yourself and the things you do and say make other people feel. Dont count how many times you try to reach for your phone. Count clouds, flower petals, blades of grass. Visit a wildlife preserve, see some wolves. Go to a stable and pet a horse. And for the love of god, stop talking at people and start talking with them.
